Sex vs Love
Disclosure: Its about to get REAL! Virgins cover your eyes! If you deem sex talk for Christians is inappropriate you might want to keep scrolling!
Raise your hand if you’ve ever let what’s between his legs cause you to lose the common sense in your head. Don’t be shy! Don’t be ashamed! Ok, let me raise my hand first! I’m guilty! Until my husband this was my pattern. If the sex was great, I fell in love. I tossed all caution to the wind. I ignored obvious signs because it was so good I didn’t want to let it go. I thought sex equaled love. If I gave myself to them, I thought they would fall in love with me the way I fell in love with them when we became intimate. I fell in love and did what I was taught to do, I followed my heart. I followed my heart because you can’t help who you fall in love with, right? WRONG! You can help who you fall in love with because you have a choice in who you allow yourself to get involved with. You don’t have to give them your phone number. You don’t have to go on a date with them. Now back to the follow your heart statement. The bible tells us “The heart is wicked above all things who can know it.” The heart does not have the ability to use wisdom and deal rationally. We are to follow the Holy Spirit and lead our heart. The heart just is emotional and just wants to feel but it doesn’t possess the rationality to know what real love is. When following your heart, don’t leave your mind behind.
